How to easily find your glasses frame size
To make your online glasses shopping experience as easy as possible, it’s best to know what your
frame size is. This short article will help you find your glasses frame size, and pick out your
perfect pair in no time.
Have you ever noticed those numbers on the inside of one of your glasses temples? Those are your
frame measurements.
For example: Let’s say the sequence of numbers you see is 51-16-140.
That means:
1
Your lens width is 51: The horizontal width of the lenses at their widest
point.
2
Your bridge width is 16: The distance between your two lenses.
3
Your temple length is 140: The length of the temple, from the hinge to the
tip.
With your frame measurements in hand, finding the frame size you need is really easy. Simply refer
to the table below to match your measurements, and you’ll know whether you should shop for a small,
medium, or large frame.
Lens Width |
Bridge Width |
Temple Length |
|
---|---|---|---|
Small | 42-48 mm | 16-17 mm | 130-135 mm |
Medium | 49-52 mm | 18-19 mm | 136-140 mm |
Large | 53-58 mm | 20-22 mm | 141-150 mm |
Now that you know your size, it's time to apply that knowledge and select a new pair of glasses:
