Oh, they’re so purrrrty!
Looks from bygone eras always seem to resurface and then we call it “vintage.” Before the 1940’s eyeglasses were simple and not really considered a fashion accessory. In order to mass produce frames and in keeping up with the industrial era, most lenses were practical, featuring rounded and rimmed in metal. For those who could afford it, finer materials such horn or bone were used yet, their purpose was more functional rather than fashionable. Then something wonderful happened. The war finally ended and a flood of inspiration came pouring out.

Following changes in society’s boundaries, unisex fashion trends are on the rise. Gender-blurred fashion concepts are all over the runways. Many designers have paved the way for a completely new approach to style. By eliminating gender norms, we can accentuate the idea that fashion is more about expression and art rather than gender.

Reality vs Dream
Hang in there! It’s just few more weeks (ok, ok, months) before it starts to get warmer but we can dream, right? Plan your imaginary trip; think of all the warm tropical destinations the world has to offer. No matter where you choose to go, even if you choose a not so tropical destination, it’s ALWAYS important to remember to pack your shades.

We received a wonderful email from Julia C. of Hartsville, RI
Here's what she had to say:
Please pass thanks along to all the technicians that worked on my glasses. I know I have an unusual prescription because I have a condition called Kerataconus. I'd been getting my glasses the last 15 years at Lenscrafters and never felt that they were right.

It’s all about the details
These days finding a finely crafted accessory that is both current and affordable is extremely rare. The materials and time invested in creating a piece will usually be the deciding factor in cost. But then unexpectedly - like a gift - we’re given something wonderful.
