It is almost perfect. Your look is almost together. You are almost ready. You have the perfect shirt. Your pants are paired perfectly with your fly shoes. Your accessories are 100% perfect. You are rockin' your designer jewels but something is missing. You cannot figure out what is missing but you know your look is almost perfect but just not there yet. You are wearing contact lenses because society told you to. Society told you at age 13 that eyeglasses were for nerds but then it hits you! You know what you are missing! Eyeglasses would make your outfit perfect and an instant hit!
Ok, now that you know what is missing - what do you do about it? If you are a trend setter, you know better than to look for something that is SO 2009. Retro looks are popular but how far back do you go? 10 years? 20 years? 30 years? Avoid the 80's as much as possible when it comes to prescription eyeglasses. You may want to avoid much of the 1970's too. Big plastic eyeglasses are soooo yesterday. You are so trendy that you will likely start the trends for 2010 and 2011. Just in case you don't, we are here to help. Eyeglasses are so hot that they are the newest fashion accessory. People wear them to enhance their looks now! Not to worry, Nerd-chic is here for the time being!
The newest looks in eyewear are very unisex. What does that mean? It is simple. Plastic. The best looking eyeglass frames are made from plastic and have a slightly larger build to them. Unlike the ultra-feminine eyeglasses like the "Hilarie", the newest trend looks similiar to the "Freddy" frames. They have larger lenses and a thinnger plastic frame. Want another hot look for 2010? Look for two-toned plastic frames like "Adam" for men where one half is black and the bottom half is clear plastic - making "Adam" look like a semi-rimless frame from afar but a very cool full framed pair of eyeglasses from up close. For women, the "Elanna" in brown is the feminine version of the "Adam" frame. The top portion is a nice warm brown color while the bottom is clear. "Elanna" is a thicker frame but very artsy!
Maybe you prefer metal frames? That's OK because the hottest metal frames are not the dinky thin metal frames. The greatest in metal frames are thicker, bolder, and can take on any of their plastic counterparts! Styles like "the Chief" are great examples of this up and coming trend. The bold, black shap gives way to the distinctive arms for a very popular look.
Go ahead! Start the trend!
